A Family Affair

The upcoming National Finals Rodeo competition in Las Vegas is looking to make history. For the first time ever three members of an extended family will be competing at the show for top honors.

Photo: WT Bruce Photography
One of them is a personal favorite of ours - Shada Brazile. Shada and her APF Pro partner, Dial It Fast, will be competing for national honors in barrel racing.

But the domination of the two Texas families, the Coopers and the Braziles, is historic.

Before Shada was a Brazile, she was a Cooper, and now she, along with her husband, Trevor Brazile, and her brother, Tuf Cooper, will be competing at the event to take place at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV December 5th through the 14th.

Trevor Brazile and his brother-in-law, Tuf Cooper, are currently #1 and #2 in the overall standings nationally.

Shada, despite her famous pedigree and her outstanding talent, has not had the kind of luck that, when coupled with amazing athletic ability, can take you to the top. But all that has changed.

The time is right for Shada Brazile

CHEYENNE – Timing is everything.

It’s what kept Shada Brazile from pursuing barrel racing full time.

But timing now has Brazile in the hunt for her first National Finals Rodeo berth.

Whether it was family life or not having a good horse that got in the way, Brazile didn’t compete in much more than regional events.

Then, when she had a good horse, fate conspired against her.

Brazile had two horses die within two days in January 2012 – one contracted salmonella and the other crippled itself in the pasture.

“That was a rough time,” the Decatur, Texas, cowgirl said. “Really rough.”

But a conversation her husband, Trevor, had with another barrel racing competitor brought her the horse, Dial It Fast, and the rest, as they say, is history.

And now we have history in the making.

Good luck, Shada! You go, girl!

And good luck to Trevor and Tuf!

Speed Dial

Shada Brazile recently wrote us about her experience with APF Pro in her top barrel horse, Dial It
Fast (aka Big Boy):

"I've fed APF Pro to my horse, Dial It Fast, for the last two years and have complete faith in this product to keep him going strong -- from keeping his immune system built up to clearing up stomach ulcers. I also love that it is all natural and safe."

Here is Shada and Dial It Fast on speed dial at Walla Walla, WA where they took first.

SHADA BRAZILE WINS BIG AND JOINS THE APF PRO RIDERS!

Shada Brazile accepting congratulations from the crowd at the
San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo
Shada Brazile recently began using APF Pro to support her horse's all-out effort at barrel racing -- and has already won big on Big Boy, capturing the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo's barrel racing competition.

After her big win, she let us know her thoughts on using APF Pro.

Hi!!

My horse got it before every run in San Antonio! It works best when I give it one hour before I run and I give 14cc.
I have about a fourth of a bottle left so I would love to have some more!
Thank you so much!!!

Shada, you are very welcome. And you will definitely get more APF Pro.

Congratulations to you and to Big Boy!

Shada's big win was featured in several newspapers and websites. The Women's Professional Rodeo Association had an article with more information.

Brazile dials in biggest win of career

by Jolee Lautaret
2/24/13

San Antonio, Texas-Another big time rodeo championship is headed home to Decatur, Texas in the Brazile rig. Only instead of rodeo's all-time money winning cowboy Trevor taking home the hardware, this time around the title goes to his barrel racing wife, Shada.

Shada claimed the "biggest win of my life" at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo on Saturday night, February 23. After winning the final round for $12,445, Brazile was named the Champion as the high money winning barrel racer of the rodeo.

It was a journey that began over a year ago when Brazile acquired Dial It Fast, a son of Dashin is Easy by the Easy Jet mare Dial It In. Though the gelding had no rodeo experience, Brazile set out on the road.

"We rodeoed all last year, just trying to figure each other out," says Brazile of the now 7-year old gelding she calls Big Boy.

And the local news ran this story.

A Brazile wins at S.A. Rodeo, but it's Trevor's wife Shada

Shada and Big Boy showing them how it's done.

As expected, a Brazile took home a big check Saturday night in the finals of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

But it wasn't Trevor Brazile, the winningest cowboy in the sport's history.

Moments after the celebrated $4.5 million competitor failed to lasso his calf in the tie-down roping championship round, his wife, Shada, blazed through the barrel racing in 13.93 seconds to capture that crown.

HALLIE MELVIN JOINS THE APF PRO TEAM!

Champion barrel racer, Hallie Melvin, is one of our newest APF Pro sponsored riders. The APF Pro was recommended to her by Kim Kizzier, LMT, CMT, of Applied Integrated Therapy. After using the product for a season, Kim contacted us with Hallie's results.

the competition on Request Lota Cash
She [Hallie] is home now and really excited because her horses have not gotten sick at all so far. She said she has never gone to Oklahoma City and not come home with sick horses.
They just held the AQHA World finals there last month and the Barrel Futurities of America World finals event has probably 1000+ horses and it's really hard to keep them from getting sick..................SO HURRAY APF!!! She is ready to put her horses that will go to AZ on it next week to prepare for the next trip.....

We couldn't be more delighted with our association with Hallie and all her fabulous horses. She took 1st Place at the Barrel Futurities of America with a time of 15.444 seconds on French Streaktovegas. Congratulations, Hallie!

And a HUGE thank you! to Kim Kizzier for recommending APF Pro. Healthy horses are her business. Helping that happen is ours.

Here's Hallie's winning ride on French Streaktovegas at the recent Barrel Futurities of America!

You go, girl!
