Eddie Woods, of Ocala, FL, is once again the top consignor at the spring Ocala Breeders Sales. At the March Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale, he led the sales from the first day.

When the final gavel dropped, Eddie Woods had four of the top 20 horses sold, with a sales total of $3,400,000!

Then today Eddie Woods had the fastest two-year-old under tack at the sale currently underway at the Ocala Breeders Sales Company.

Eddie Woods uses APF Pro extensively in his prep and training program for the horses he consigns. He has seen it work and definitely knows the value of APF Pro!

Miss Temple City Wins the Matriarch Stakes!

Miss Temple City made a stunning stretch run to win the Matriarch Stakes, a Grade I race at Del Mar last Sunday.

From the Daily Racing Form:

DEL MAR, Calif. – The ambitious 2016 campaign of Miss Temple City had the perfect ending on Sunday at Del Mar as she earned her third Grade 1 victory of the year by holding off Roca Rojo in the $302,070 Matriarch Stakes for female grass runners, the featured race here on closing day.

Miss Temple City raced in Kentucky, New York, California, and at Royal Ascot in England this year, and twice earlier in the year defeated males in Grade 1 races. That’s
the kind of resume that usually would get a filly a year-end championship, but Miss Temple City, 4, has the misfortune of being in the same category as Tepin, whose outstanding form – including a victory at Royal Ascot – should bring her a second Eclipse Award.
Benoit and Associates

“I wish they’d retire Tepin,” Graham Motion, the trainer of Miss Temple City, joked after the race.

“Any other year she’d stand out,” Motion said of Miss Temple City.
I'd say that stretch run was a stand out!

Shelby and Crim take a victory lap.
This year's North American Junior Young Rider Championships were dominated by APF Pro Team Riders! We are so delighted and proud to be associated with such incredible young people - truly the future of equestrian sport.

In the CIC2*, Shelby Brost won the gold on her brilliant mare, Crimson. I was fortunate to be able to meet Shelby at Rolex this past April, and was impressed with her poise and confidence. Doesn't surprise me in the least that she so competently tackled the challenge of the championships with a win on her dressage score. Shelby and Crimson were also instrumental in securing a silver medal for the Canadian team.
Kisses for good mares.

And with an appreciative kiss for her partner.

That's how you do it, folks.

Lee Camiolo and Junior sailed
around a tough course.
Competing as an individual in the CCI1* was Lee Camiolo on Caharron V.E. (aka Junior). Lee is an extremely talented young rider - who Michael and I were privileged to meet at this year's Rolex as well - and at the tender age of 16, can be expected to return to the championships many more times! After a solid dressage, she rocketed to 2nd on the strength of a double clear cross country ride. Stadium proved challenging, and rails set her back, but we are extremely proud of her performance and expect to see her at the top of the sport in the years to come.

As a California based company, AREA VI are hometown kids! We know and cheer for all these incredible kids throughout the year at competitions up and down the state. With a perfect run in stadium, all of them putting in double clear rounds, they captured the bronze medal for their team!

Way to go!!
