Shelby and Crim take a victory lap.
This year's North American Junior Young Rider Championships were dominated by APF Pro Team Riders! We are so delighted and proud to be associated with such incredible young people - truly the future of equestrian sport.

In the CIC2*, Shelby Brost won the gold on her brilliant mare, Crimson. I was fortunate to be able to meet Shelby at Rolex this past April, and was impressed with her poise and confidence. Doesn't surprise me in the least that she so competently tackled the challenge of the championships with a win on her dressage score. Shelby and Crimson were also instrumental in securing a silver medal for the Canadian team.
Kisses for good mares.

And with an appreciative kiss for her partner.

That's how you do it, folks.

Lee Camiolo and Junior sailed
around a tough course.
Competing as an individual in the CCI1* was Lee Camiolo on Caharron V.E. (aka Junior). Lee is an extremely talented young rider - who Michael and I were privileged to meet at this year's Rolex as well - and at the tender age of 16, can be expected to return to the championships many more times! After a solid dressage, she rocketed to 2nd on the strength of a double clear cross country ride. Stadium proved challenging, and rails set her back, but we are extremely proud of her performance and expect to see her at the top of the sport in the years to come.

As a California based company, AREA VI are hometown kids! We know and cheer for all these incredible kids throughout the year at competitions up and down the state. With a perfect run in stadium, all of them putting in double clear rounds, they captured the bronze medal for their team!

Way to go!!

I realize that it is surprising that I am on top of things and, therefore, have already drawn our winner for July, instead of the much more typical scenario where we are months late. All I can say is I'm surprised, too.

So, without further ado...July's winner is:

Devon Hughes

Thanks for entering, Devon! We know your horse will enjoy the APF Pro.

Everyone...if you haven't already sent us your email and mailing address to, do it now! We'll be drawing a winner every month through the end of the year.

Time to announce our monthly contest winners - and it's another two-fer! We didn't draw in April OR May, so now we will announce both winners.

Wendy Morgan

Dena Lynch

Wendy and Dena, you've each won a 354ml bottle of APF Pro - a $186.00 value!! Best of health to each of you and to your horses!

For anyone else who hasn't entered our monthly drawing, just send your name, address, email, and phone number to us at, and we will enter your information for June's drawing! You only have to enter once, and you're entered until you win. How's that for a deal?
